T. Boone Pickens suggests less foreign oil, more domestic natural gas put in the transportation sector, and increasing our wind output to 22% of the national power grid. It seems rather simple, and he makes a convincing argument. Here's the video.
Here's the report from the Associated Press.
What do people think of this?

Let me guess... you're not so keen on Pickens now, huh?

I guess Pickens saying he wants to drill everywhere doesn't surprise me. Maybe he's only interested in renewable energy because he sees a lot of profit in it. Either way, I thought it was an interesting presentation, and I just hadn't heard of anyone else in the oil industry, executive or lobbyist, even acknowledging renewable energy or any plan other than: more drilling, period, plain and simple.
It wasn't the man, more the wind power, that I really liked. He just happened to be the one to point it out; remarkable indeed for the unexpected source.
